I have been playing and teaching didjeridu for over twenty years and have a rich and varied track record. As well as being booked to play orthodox styles, I am best known for my ability to play fast and accurate rhythms using double and triple tonguing.
I have played and recorded with many musicians including Robert Plant and Jimmy Page and I can be seen on their DVD No Quarter / Unledded performing on Black Dog.
I have collaborated musically with Patrick Dawes of Groove Armada.
Film & TV
I have recorded film score music. Nasty Neighbours starring Phil Daniels and Ricky Tomlinson features some of my atmospheric didjeridu playing. I have also provided music for television – notably the soundtrack to the BBC 2 series Wild Down Under.
I have performed at many festivals including Glastonbury and The Big Green Gathering. I have guested with many bands including Baka Beyond, Kangaroo Moon, Tenkoo Orchestra and Kora Colours.
An early example of my playing can be heard on the CD Rainbow Over Gypsy Hill by the Japanese artist Hiroki Okano.
One of my regular bookings is for the unique and colourful Planet Angel nightclub.
“…one of the best players I’ve ever heard”
Mark Robson from Kangaroo Moon.
I have worked in many schools and colleges demonstrating the sounds and sights of this amazing instrument, this has included ‘hands on’ fun through learning using plastic-tube didjes.
I have discovered that didjeridu can also be a fantastic tool to work with adults and children with additional needs and physical disabilities.
“Thanks for coming, the kids really enjoyed themselves and keep talking about it”
